How often should you stretch?
Regular exercise is great. But what is considered regular? Do you workout daily or do you workout every other day? The same applies to stretching. How often should you stretch? We have to keep in mind the intensity of the stretches you will do because stretching at a high intensity daily may end up doing damage than help. We can apply the same logic onto your workouts as well.
Balance is key. We can do low-intensity exercises and stretches every day with no problems to your progress. However, to continue with your progress, you should compliment these light exercises and stretches with some intense/weighted stretches. Flexibility requires maintenance so light daily stretches will do just that. To further your progress, Tom Merrick suggests incorporating heavier/intense stretches 1-3 times a week.
